‼️ FOLLOW UP DURING INTERVIEW PROCESS THROUGHOUT THE STAGES W/ PRIMARY CONTACT

  1. Informational interview
    1. Hey what’s the next step for me?
  2. Technical / Behavioral
    1. Send thank you note as excuse to follow up first, then 3-4 days after
      1. Hey I’m checking up to see if you have hired anyone or on my status
  3. Meet the team

NOTE: If point of contact is not hiring manger → Hey will you kindly forward this to the people I’ll be interviewing with

‼️ SEND THE THANK YOU NOTE WITHIN 24HRS OF COFFEE CHAT/INTERVIEW/ETC— Could get you the job / not sending one could make you lose the job

Mention something that you talked about will make you stand up and remember you

Pay attention to their interest, show you listened, putting in the extra steps

Schedule 10 minute right after the call to write the email/thank you note… then schedule it in the morning. Nobody checks it in the evening.

‼️ On top of the email, build time to go on LinkedIn. You’ll see updates they just raised money or they’re hiring. You want to be in their comments saying “Congrats on raising more money” or birthdays/in the news/whatever it is.

Tip from Leon: Add each person that interviews you, add to private Twitter list. Like/comment each tweet / stay in their feed

You can do this in batches. One day a week to schedule out all your social media/emails.

Buffer allows you to schedule socials - LinkedIn/Twitter
